♦Tatum can identify the first letter of her and her friends' names, not Daddy's or Mommy's but her and her friends’. Dustin and I know where we stand! Tatum and I were stopped at a light. Tatum yelled, "Mommy look my letter. T my letter". She correctly identified the T in Red Lobster. I said, "Your right. T is for Tatum". I then asked, "Who is letter A for?”. Tatum responded, "Baby Alex letter not there!” {Insert 'Duh Mommy' attitude} J.

At home she quizzed me with color, shape, and letter flashcards; "What that color?", "What that shape?", "What that letter?". After each answer, Tatum praised me, "Good job Mommy". At first the praise was excited, animated, and even clapped. Then the praise became flat and unenthusiastic; like, 'Whoop-dee-doo, you got it right'.

♦Every day Tatum reminds us, "My birthday come up soon". She already has a guest list. Big surprise Dustin and I did not make the list. What does she want for her birthday? Cake and a fish.

♦Tatum picked up a pair of PJ bottoms from the bathroom floor. Dustin told her the bottoms were dirty (pull-up leaked). Tatum took a big whiff and said, "That not dirty". She then pulled out clothes from the hamper and put them into her dresser drawer because, "That not dirty". I like the way she thinks. If it don’t stink, don't wash. This theory could save money on water, detergent, and fabric sheets. Not to mention save time. More time to... think? Um, no thanks. Perhaps I could take up a hobby. A non-creative hobby! Coin collecting? Stamp collecting? Neither sound fun. Guess I'll stick to washing laundry.

Fall Into...

The last few weeks have been emotionally agonizing. With another month further from holding Payton, upcoming holidays, and numerous happy families with babies, we are painfully aware Payton is not here with us. We miss her fiercely! For this reason, we haven't had much to post.

Today was the first fun in about a month. Gotta love how excited Tatum gets about everything.
